The Care Workers’ Charity presents their Going the Extra Mile event.

Sponsored by Avery Healthcare, Cinnamon Care Collection and Oakland Care, this year the format has changed, it’s all online via an app.

What is the challenge?
Over a period of 4 weeks (20th July – 14th August) colleagues and teams will compete to earn Kaido Points for positive improvements they make to their physical and mental health. These points fuel their progress along a virtual journey ‘Around the World’ following in the footsteps of the intrepid explorer Phileas Fogg!

From practising daily mindfulness, completing ‘PE with Joe Wicks,’ even doing the gardening, with Kaido everything counts!

Kaido challenges are specifically designed to drive engagement, boost morale and improve connectivity between colleagues, whilst helping them to look after their physical and mental health in a fun and interactive way.

How to get started?
Sign up by the 20th July – LATEST. Select your team leader and register your group by following this link: https://kaido.org/start/128637695

kaido.org/startOnce a team is created you can invite your team mates to join in – it is easier if you invite them using their emails. 10 is the maximum number per team. If more people want to sign up – multiple teams will need to be created using the same process. Families and friends can also take part!

Signing up is the most complex part but as soon as a group is created individuals can be invited to join.

Fundraising:
As Going the Extra Mile is usually a big event which brings in funding for the charity we are asking that when you have created your team to create a JustGiving page at the same time. Here is The Care Workers’ Charity  event fundraising page:  https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/cwcaroundtheworld – fundraising teams can be created by clicking ‘Start fundraising’ on the right hand side of the page. We suggest that teams set a target of £300.
