The KTN Group smash their fundraising target of one thousand pounds for The Care Workers’ Charity Coronavirus Fund during their #Move1000Raise1000 wellness initiative in August 2020.
Stepping up the pace, and steps, staff, family and friends of the KTN Group spent four weeks helping care workers in need by clocking up the steps way beyond the planned 1000km to an epic 1352km steps raising in total £1,238 from donations.
David Leonard, Head of Clinical Services at KTN Group says: “We couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much to everyone who donated, and sponsored us. Special mention goes to Shauna, the daughter of one of our team members at Cambridge Nursing Home, who raised a massive £190 all on her own.
“The focus of raising money for The Care Workers’ Charity really helped to get people motivated and positive about exercise. It’s great to see our team supporting each other through a friendly competitive spirit to make small but significant changes in their lifestyles.”
Now with much more energy the KTN team are cruising past their pedometer goals, from gentle strolls, and moderate step counts of three thousand, to one individual recording an epic 21 thousand steps in one day.
