The Care Workers’ Charity has teamed up with Sona for the Better Things to Do with Paper competition, celebrating creativity while raising awareness of the incredible people working in adult social care.
We’re inviting you to get creative and show us what you can do with paper. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply love getting crafty, we’d love to see your creations!
With three fantastic prizes up for grabs, now’s your chance to get involved.
What Is Better Things to Do with Paper?
Better Things to Do with Paper is a creative competition delivered in partnership with Sona and The Care Workers’ Charity.
It’s an opportunity to celebrate creativity, get people involved and shine a spotlight on the care sector.
We’re looking forward to seeing your imagination come to life!

How Can You Get Involved?
- Get Creative – Put your imagination to work and create something using paper
- Show Us Your Creation – Get your entry ready, take a picture and complete the competition form below.
- Be in with a Chance of Winning– Three winners will receive shopping vouchers worth £350, £200 and £100.
Terms & Conditions
- The competition is open to professional care workers working in adult social care across the UK.
- All artwork must be original, created by the entrant and use paper as its primary material.
- AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork is strictly prohibited.
- Entries must be submitted using the official competition form, including a photograph of the artwork and a short description.
- The competition opens on 1st October 2026 and closes on 30th October 2026.
- The Care Workers’ Charity will shortlist 20 entries on 3rd November, with final judging completed by 6th November 2026.
- Winners will be announced on 9th November 2026.
- Prizes are £350 for first place, £200 for second place and £100 for third place, awarded as equivalent shopping vouchers. No cash alternatives are available.
- By entering, participants agree that The Care Workers’ Charity and Sona may share photographs of their artwork to promote the competition and celebrate the winners.
- The organisers reserve the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the competition requirements. The judges’ decision is final.
