Martin Jones - Chair
CWC As CEO of Home Instead UK, Martin Jones is responsible for leading the entire UK operation. When his father become seriously ill, Martin experienced first-hand the varied and sometimes poor levels of care in the UK. Martin wanted to join an environment where he could help to make a difference to the lives of other older people and their families and came to Home Instead in September 2011.
Martin’s role is to continue the development of the brand in the UK, helping establish Home Instead as the UK's most admired care company and as an employer of choice within the sector. Alongside his passion to support families to enable their loved ones to live independently at home he is dedicated to providing job opportunities that are fulfilling and make best use of peoples' skills and experience. He is an active member of Business in the Community's Age at Work leadership team, championing the role of older workers.
Martin’s non-executive and Trustee roles include: Member of the UKHCA board; Chair of The Silver Line charity; member of the Age UK Board; Trustee of TSA, the voice of technology enabled care and Trustee of The Care Workers Charity. He is also Chair of Home Instead’s charity in the UK, The Bring Joy Foundation.
Lisa Delaney - Deputy Chair
CWC Lisa Delaney has worked in the care sector for over 12 years in a variety of leadership roles across recruitment, hospitality and procurement giving her a unique insight into how the sector operates. In her current role as Country Manager UK for Sensio she helps care providers on their journey of digital transformation through the adoption of world class passive monitoring systems. Lisa is particularly passionate about utilising technology to drive better healthcare and improved outcomes for residents. Lisa also sits on the board of Trustees for the Care Workers Charity. She is regularly active in her fundraising efforts for the charity and is due to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October 2024.
Sophie Chester-Glyn
CWC Sophie is managing director of a care organisation supporting adults with disabilities since the 1990s. In 2019 she set up Coproduce Care, a non-profit organisation which aims to help democratise the care debate by supporting social care to have a voice in government consultations on social care. Sophie presents Coproduce Care’s successful livestream channel on YouTube, interviewing government Ministers, people with lived experiences and care workers. In 2019 Sophie embarked on a PhD in post-colonial discourse and human rights within mental health law
Nathan Hollow
CWC Nathan Hollow is a Board Director and Head of Health and Social Care at PLMR Group, a leading communications consultancy based in Westminster. With a 14-year proven track record in media relations and reputation management, Nathan offers strategic guidance to a wide range of organisations in the health and social care sector. Previously named the UK’s best young communications professional, Nathan advises on an organisation’s full communications output, spanning internal and external communications, as well as media, political and online engagement. He has particular experience supporting organisations to respond to critical media investigations, including those conducted by prominent outlets like the BBC’s Panorama programme, Channel 4’s Dispatches, The Sunday Times, and The Mail on Sunday. Outside of work, Nathan supported his grandmother throughout her eight-year dementia journey, giving him first-hand personal experience of navigating the care system, as well as the incredible contribution care workers make to individuals and their families each day.
Helen Glasspool
CWC Helen joined the National Care Forum (NCF) in 2013 and now leads the Events and Partnership team, overseeing the delivery of NCF’s events programme and managing relationships with commercial partners. With a strong interest in driving innovation across the care and support sector, Helen heads up the annual Care Innovation Challenge, a pioneering initiative that encourages fresh thinking and supports entrepreneurs in bringing new solutions to market. Helen also works closely with key partners to foster international collaboration, creating opportunities for care and support providers to exchange best practice and explore inspiring models of care from around the world. As part of her commitment to global learning, Helen plays an active role in the Global Ageing Network Conference, helping to connect UK providers with international peers and showcase innovative approaches to ageing and care on a global stage.
Derek Breingan
CWC Derek has many years of UK multi banking experience and has been solely focussed on the health & social care sector for over 20 years. Joining Clydesdale Bank in 2010 he established a dedicated sector specialist relationship proposition and developed bank appetite to support and establish a strong market presence in the UK. Derek now leads a team of 24 colleagues focussed on lending, supporting and managing a growing portfolio of customers across social care and health. He also works with key trade bodies in helping promote a better future for the health and social care sector in the UK. Derek is an Ambassador for Championing Social Care; Access Social Care; an active supporter of Barnardos and the Care Workers Charity and sits on the Board of Bield Housing Association which provides housing and care for older people.
Sarah Livingston
CWC Sarah Livingston is Head of Healthcare at CBRE where she works advising investors and owners on capital, operational and strategic projects across social and specialist care, private and public health. Prior to her time at CBRE Sarah held Board positions at Elysium Healthcare and Partnerships in Care where she was responsible for strategic growth, legal and commercial across the organisation. Sarah is also a trustee of St Luke’s Hospice.
