At Hartford Care, we recognise the value, dedication, commitment and love shown by our staff and others in the care sector. So, in July 2018, we (Sean, Jo, Leah and Will) will be donning our walking boots, waterproofs, polar fleeces and camping gear and trekking across the remote highlands of Iceland, the land of fire and ice, in order to raise funds for the Care Workers Charity. We are also delighted to be joined on the trek by Major Matthew Smith, who is also a firm supporter of this amazing charity.

This tough challenge will involve trekking through rivers, over lava fields and mountains and through gullies next to shining glaciers which will no doubt prove to be a tough, but extremely worthwhile challenge for a great cause. We believe that in undertaking this challenge, we will be able to shine a light on the valuable work of those working in care, as well as raising funds to support anyone working in the care sector who may run into hardship.

In addition to this, all of our homes and staff are getting involved in raising funds for this amazing charity, with plenty of events, challenges and fun days happening across the group!

We would really appreciate your help and support for this great cause and in supporting us in this challenge and the other events happening across the group. Any donation is welcomed, no matter how big or small!

Thank you in anticipation,

Sean, Jo, Leah, Will and the Hartford Care family
