Alex Ramamurthy Following the CarterSchwartz cycle event in May, which was my first time out on a bike over 10 miles, we've decided to host our own fundraiser.

The Care Workers Charity’s annual fundraiser this year is a c78 mile cycle ride between a number of partner care homes. The route is split into 5 sections detailed below:

Start: Anya Court Care Home (Hallmark Care Homes) - CV22 6JA
Stop 2: Arden House Care Home (Greensleeves Care) – CV32 5QT [17.2miles, 1h30]
Stop 3: Scholars Mews Care Home (Avery Healthcare) – CV37 6HE [13.2 miles, 1h10]
Stop 4: Newland House (Hartford Care) – OX28 3JG [38.8 miles, 3h40]
Finish: Cumnor Hill House (Berkley Care Group) – OX2 9FW [9.4 miles, 50mins]

Don't be fooled by the confident smile above, I am not a keen cyclist! My training consists of a gentle ride to Richmond Park, a lap (or two), followed by an ice cream.

My target is £500, so please donate anything you can spare. Money goes directly to the Care Workers Charity (CWC) grant fund, which means we can help more care staff across the UK get out of a crisis, and back to caring for our most vulnerable in society.

As a country we depend on care workers to be there for us on our rainy day, the Care Workers Charity is there for them on theirs.
