SUMMARY:Professional Care Workers’ Week 2025: Hearing from Care Workers
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Care Workers’ Charity proudly invites you to Professional Care Workers’ Week (PCWW) 2025\, celebrating its eighth year of recognising the vital contributions of care workers across the UK. This year’s event\, co-produced with our amazing Care Worker Advisory Board\, promises to bring frontline voices directly into the conversation\, spotlighting the real experiences and insights of the Adult Social Care workforce.  \nRunning from Friday 12th – Friday 20th September\, PCWW 2025 will feature a series of in person events and free virtual panels and information sessions led by care workers and with care managers\, and influential figures from across the sector. These sessions are free and accessible to all\, offering opportunities for learning\, collaboration\, and advocacy from anywhere in the UK.  \nHow You Can Get Involved  \nWe encourage participation from everyone—both within and beyond the care sector—by:  \n\nAttending our insightful virtual sessions. \nRaising funds to support care workers. \nOrganising local events to celebrate and honour colleagues in your workplace or community. \n\nWhy “Professional” Matters  \nThe term “Professional” is central to PCWW\, as it highlights the skilled and essential nature of care work. Despite their critical roles\, care workers often face challenges such as low pay\, inconsistent training\, and high turnover\, with 152\,000 vacancies in the sector each day. It’s time to change this narrative.  \nProfessionalisation is about:  \n\nAcknowledging the diverse skills and expertise of care workers. \nOffering fair wages and pay progression in line with training and responsibilities  \nProviding clear career pathways and professional development. \nRecognising the immense societal value of care workers. \n\nFor those receiving care\, professionalisation brings trust\, safety\, accountability\, and transparency. Professional Care Workers’ Week is not just a celebration; it’s a movement to elevate the status of care workers\, showcase their achievements\, and foster best practice sharing across the UK.  \nJoin us in making PCWW 2025 an event to remember! [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18924″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://www.youtube.com/@thecareworkerscharity/playlists”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Professional Care Workers’ Week 2026
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Care Workers’ Charity proudly invites you to Professional Care Workers’ Week (PCWW) 2026\, celebrating its ninth year of recognising the vital contributions of care workers across the UK. This year’s event\, co-produced with our amazing Care Worker Advisory Board\, promises to bring frontline voices directly into the conversation\, spotlighting the real experiences and insights of the Adult Social Care workforce.  \nRunning from Monday 14th– Friday 18th September\, PCWW 2026 will feature a series of in person events and free virtual panels and information sessions led by care workers and with care managers\, and influential figures from across the sector. Despite their critical roles\, care workers often face challenges such as low pay\, inconsistent training\, and high turnover. \nJoin us in making PCWW 2026 an event to remember! More information coming soon.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
