The Care Workers' Charity Covid-19 Grant Fund aims to provide emergency funding for currently employed care workers who must take time off work due to Covid-19 for either illness or self-isolation or shielding or for funeral costs.
Applicants must work in role that is involved in or supports the provision of adult, elderly or disability care. These may include residential social care, domiciliary/home care, supported living care.
Grants related to self-isolation or other unexpected costs will be between £500 (2 weeks of self-isolation), £1,000 (12 weeks of shielding) and £2,000 for funeral costs.
If a care worker is responsible for paying for the funeral costs of a next of kin (partner, parent, sibling, child, or other on a case-by-case basis), we are now offering up to £2000 grants/per applicant (till funds last!) . If the care worker has passed on, the next of kin of employer may apply on behalf of the family.
