Champion our cause and help us support care workers in financial hardship

Our Champions are our network of volunteers. Champions are our eyes and ears on the ground, working in care homes, home care providers and supported living services to raise awareness of The Care Workers Charity.

...

Volunteer Champions raise awareness of CWC amongst their colleagues.

This could include:

  • telling other staff about the support offered by CWC
  • placing a standing item in their workplace’s newsletter
  • putting up posters in staff areas
  • distributing copies of CWC’s quarterly print newsletter
  • ensuring that leaflet stands are kept well stocked
  • talking about CWC at a team meeting

Volunteering as a Champion is a unique opportunity to raise awareness of a national charity that supports you and your colleagues.

...

Volunteer Champions are fully supported by CWC

When you sign up to volunteer as a Champion, you'll have an induction call with our Engagement Manager Laura, welcoming you to the CWC volunteer team. You'll receive a volunteer pack with info about CWC, our volunteer handbook and free resources to help you to raise awareness straight away.

We offer online training and opportunities to attend face-to-face training across the UK, to support your development as a volunteer and to say thank you for your efforts. You'll receive regular volunteer newsletters with updates from CWC, plus catch-ups from Laura who is always available by phone or email to answer any questions you might have.

It’s brilliant to be part of something so meaningful.

If you work as a care worker or manager within a care home, domiciliary care or supported living service, you can apply to be a Champion here.
