Going the Extra Mile

Going the Extra Mile (GTEM) is taking place from the 5th – 11th July. The Care Workers’ Charity hosts Going the Extra Mile to shine a spotlight on the lengths taken by people working in social care.
Care and support workers are known Go the Extra Mile to support those they care for. Making someone smile by making funny faces, giving someone their favourite foods and being a friendly face that says ‘hello’ are some of the small ways that care and support workers are making a real difference.
Taking part in Going the Extra Mile gives you an opportunity to celebrate social care.
You could run a sponsored walk, swim, run with your colleagues, friends or family.
